As a result of EU and national environmental policy seek to address climate change adaptation and shrinking fossil energy sources the proportion of biomass within the future mix of energy sources will be considerably increased. At the same time it is important to take note of the adverse effects of climate change on agricultural production capacities for biomass energy products. Therefore the sustainable development of biomass energy requires not only the development of all possible utilisation pathways, but also raising the efficiency and effectiveness along the entire production chain. This project aims at increasing the total energy efficiency of sewage gas plants.
