Project Information
Multifunctional Cover in Refurbishment of Facades and Buildings
In eNVELOP C, energy efficient building stock refurbishment measures with prefabricated building components are developed. Current refurbishments are based on individual and often costly solutions. Often the focus lies on complying with regulatory frameworks of energy efficiency. Adaptation to climate change impacts is less considered. Refurbishment of building stock is an important growth market. Climate change impacts on the longevity of refurbishments are an economic concern. Therefore, great potential lies in the development and implementation of standardised solutions that combine high energy and cost efficiency with optimal adaptation to future climate conditions.
Systems developed in eNVELOP C will be modular, utilise renewable energies and be optimised for future climatic requirements.
