INNERGY - 100% renewable energy real-world laboratory

Testing and developing in tomorrow's energy system today - rehearsing the energy transition.

INNERGY - 100% renewable energy real-world laboratory

Testing and developing in tomorrow's energy system today - rehearsing the energy transition.

The INNERGY flagship project is closely linked to the INNERGY InnoLab and the INNERGY real laboratory. It extends across the Inntal valley from Völs via Innsbruck to Jenbach. The aim of the real-world laboratory is to significantly increase the efficiency and flexibility of energy and, in particular, heat supply in this area. Existing and planned infrastructures as well as various stakeholders are to be connected in order to develop new framework conditions for a 100% renewable energy supply and to test and validate them in concrete implementation projects.

The challenges and opportunities of the project lie in the interaction between stakeholders and infrastructures as well as in the integration of technical, legal, social and economic aspects. Innovative solutions for prosumers, heat and sector coupling will be developed and tested. The aim is to generate knowledge and provide impetus for concrete changes.

This project is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
