Comparison of Climate Risk KPIs in Asset Management
Systematic competitive analysis of publicly available KPIs for an international asset management company.
As part of a competitive analysis, alpS GmbH evaluated quantifiable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to climate risk management in asset management companies. The aim was to identify measurable indicators for the assessment of climate risks and adaptation strategies.
The analysis was based on an evaluation of publicly available reports, sustainability policies and corporate resources. It focused on the coverage of adaptation strategies and the integration of climate risks into corporate strategies. The methodology included a systematic review and comparison of KPIs to promote transparency and standardisation in this area.
The results show that disclosure of specific KPIs related to climate risk exposure and adaptation measures is often limited. Instead, general information on sustainability strategies and risk mitigation prevails. This highlights the need for standardised and comparable metrics to improve the transparency and effectiveness of climate risk management practices.
