EU Taxonomy and DNSH Criteria

Climate impact and risk analysis

The EU taxonomy for sustainable activities aims to promote environmentally sustainable investments in the European Union. For this purpose, economic activities are assessed with regard to the achievement of six environmental objectives. In the course of the project, a climate impact and risk analysis is carried out for selected real estate that meets the requirements of the EU taxonomy. It will be examined whether the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) criteria of the environmental objective "climate change adaptation " are fulfilled. The applied method corresponds to the methodological requirements of a climate risk and vulnerability assessment as described in Appendix A of Annex I of the taxonomy. Current and future climate risks are assessed using scientific methods. Finally, the risk assessment is supplemented by adaptation measures aimed at increasing the resilience of these properties.
