Further-Development of the long-term hydrological forecast system of the TIWAG

As part of the project, the long-term hydrological forecasting system YETI was extended to incorporate the expansion of Kühtai reservoir and pump storage power plant Kühtai 2 of the power plant complex Sellrain-Silz (SSi). The aim is to accurately represent and forecast water inflows to the new Kühtai reservoir while taking into account the resulting reduction in inflows to the Längental reservoir. To this end, the model domain was expanded to account for the new water intakes. Existing model components were adapted, calibrated and validated using measured discharge data.
