Support Emergency Response Plan - Subotica Wastewater Treatment Plant (Serbia)

Lake Ludaš is an internationally recognised Ramsa Protected Area in Serbia. The lake and its surroundings provide diverse habitats for a variety of protected animals and plants. The wetland is in an ecologically poor condition, not least due to phosphorus inputs from the surrounding towns. KfW - the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau - commissioned Posch & Partner Consulting Engineers and associated partners (including BioTreaT GmbH) to upgrade the Subotica wastewater treatment plant that drains into the lake. In this context, an emergency response plan was prepared for its operation. In this process, alpS GmbH provided support with its proven expertise in the field of risk management.
